The Adjustable gate closer is fixed to the opening side fo the pedestrian gate and is compressed. Be advised to fit a gate stop to limit the gates opening angle at 90 degrees. The gate closer can be damaged by force such as wind or physical movement when fully compressed open.

The closing force can be reduced by using one of the post bracket mounting holes nearer to the gate post, from a choice of 3. Either weld or screw the bracket on to the gate post.

If the closing force is still too high it can be reduced by releasing some nitrogen gas from the cylinder. Please speak to our technical team prior to this, the AT-10 adjustment tool is required.

Installation Instructions:

1. Fix the long bracket to the gate post with the dimensions detailed in the Recommended Installation.
2. Fix the small bracket to the gate. Ensure there is a distance of 740mm from the center of the furthest post bracket hole to the center of the gate bracket hole and the brackets are horizontally aligned.
3. Compress the gate closer and connect to the brackets. The speed adjustment end connects to the small gate bracket.
4. Rotate the adjustment collar anti-clockwise until the desired speed is achieved.

Do not compress the mounting brackets by overtightening the nyloc nuts.
Only tighten the nuts until level with end of bolt, the bolt must not protrude from the nut.

This allows the gate closer to tilt slightly and prevents stress on the connecting parts.
