Up to 180 VX2200 intercoms/ videophones and up to 15 VX2200 door panels  can be connected to a single device.

During normal operation, it monitors all events  on either bus and transfers them to the other and in addition, passes these events to all concierge units (Art.CSW2220) installed on the system.

The 2221 can manage two audio video media streams (both encoding and decoding) at the same time using only one UDP port.

Streams can be directed to an Art. CSW2220 concierge or to another 2221, making large installations possible with only a few devices. It is also able to capture the video signal from BUS IN and sending as a preview to up to five peers.

The audio is sampled at 8000 kHz 16 bit and an echo cancellation algorithm is applied on both channels for increased audio quality.

The 2221 can be configured and upgraded using the Videx IP wizard on a PC with ethernet connection
