Leeds Civic Leader Praises Rolling Center’s New Operation

Rolling Center’s major expansion has been praised by Leed’s civic head.

The Lord Mayor of Leeds, Coucillor Graham Latty, described the move by the gate hardware and access control company into a new hub at Whitehall Cross as being further evidence of investment in the city.RC-3.jpg

‘It is so pleasing to see companies such as the Rolling Center growing in this way in the city and they are to be commended,’ said Councillor Latty.

He and the Lady Mayoress, Councillor Pat Latty, carried out the official opening of the premises which are three times bigger than the company’s previous operation in Hunslet and represent the culmination of a two year search by managing director Simon Smith.

Major internal work has been carried out to include a showroom area; bespoke counter for individual service and a training room.RC-4.jpg

‘We are delighted with the facilities and it cements our position as the leading independent supplier of gate hardware in the UK,’ said Smith, ‘and I would pay tribute to all my staff for their hard.’

Rolling Center has also been appointed the UK distributor for the French aluminium gate manufacturer La Toulousaine.

Fundraising during the open day realised more than £700 for St Gemma’s Hospice – Yorkshire’s largest hospice – which has been in existence for more than 40 years and is based at Moortown in Leeds and is the Lord Mayor’s chairity during his year in office.
