January 2011 - HSE General Safety Notice Re: Automated Gates
The Health and Safety Executive have released a safety bulletin for landlords, commercial owners and facilities managers of sites where automated gates are installed. The notice summarises the action that needs to be taken to ensure that the public, staff, and other workers are not put at risk by the gate's design, construction, operation or lack of maintenance in the light of events at two sites in the summer of 2010.
